Does your camp have any contact?
Rhode Island Football Academy (RIFA) is a non-contact camp. All instruction is
delivered through coached drills in a safe, structured environment.
What equipment does each camper need to bring?
All RIFA campers will receive a camp practice jersey and shorts. The camp
“uniform” is to be worn each day at camp. Campers should wear
cleats or athletic shoes and bring water.
What areas of instruction are covered?
RIFA is the premier football instruction camp in the area, covering all skill
positions on the football field. All positions taught at camp are led by RIFA
instructors who specialize in their respective position. Every camper receives
coaching in both an offensive and defensive position through their chosen
position bundle.
What if my camper has never played before?
RIFA functions as a teaching camp first. All participants receive instruction
tailored to their position through the same progressions, organized by age,
position, and in some cases ability. The instruction is designed to be
understandable and engaging for every level of athlete.
How do you divide campers into groups?
While all campers participate in the drills and competition, we make a sincere
effort to organize the schedule so that campers work with others of their same
age, size, talent, and skill level.
What is the coach-to-camper ratio?
A typical camper-to-coach ratio is 8–10 campers to each coach. This
ensures every athlete receives meaningful instruction time, not just observation.
Does your camp offer lunch?
No. Camp sessions end at 12:00 PM, so lunch is not provided. Campers should
arrive hydrated and may bring a snack or water bottle.
What payment methods do you accept?
RIFA accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, and
Google Pay. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
What is your refund policy?
No refunds. Credit for future camps only. If your athlete cannot attend,
please contact us at campers@rifootballacademy.com
to arrange a credit.
What happens in the event of inclement weather?
In the event of poor weather conditions, camp will be conducted indoors with
modified training and various film instruction sessions.
What precautions are taken during extreme heat?
Athlete safety is the top priority. During extreme heat conditions, camp
incorporates scheduled water breaks, frequent hydration reminders, reduced
training intensity, shelter breaks in the shade, and moving activities indoors
when necessary.
