COVID-19 Update 3

Governor Raimondo’s recent announcement regarding summer camp sessions is certainly great news for everyone; especially those in the football community. I know parents and football players alike are excited at the prospect of getting outdoors and participating in athletic activity. All of us here at the Academy are monitoring this news and are working hard in preparation to make any adjustments to our training format to meet the expected requirements of the new guidelines.

We are continuing to monitor these new guidelines. I think it’s important for all parents to be advised they may not be allowed stay and view the training sessions as they have in year’s past. I know this is a huge disappointment as I know how much enjoyment you have received over the years watching the sessions.

Our website will be updated in the coming days. We ask that you please be patient as we navigate through this process. We ask that you check our site for the new registration template. This template will ask for more specific information. This will include age group, T-shirt size, short size and most importantly your position bundle.

Please note that all registrations for the 2020 Rhode Island Football Academy must be paid for online at time of registration. Due to current conditions, we will not be taking payments at camp.

Any paid registrations previously submitted will be refunded back to the credit card used within the next 5 days. Unlike previous years, registrations MUST be paid for online and in advance of camp.

We appreciate all your support, patience and understanding. We will be providing additional updates soon.

COVID-19 Update 2

The Rhode Island Football Academy is pleased to announce that the Governor will be allowing camps to operate this summer beginning June 29. As stated previously, we would continue to monitor this Covid-19 crisis and follow all directives from federal, state and local agencies. This initial announcement is certainly great news for us all. Further details regarding the guidelines we must follow to safely operate our football instruction this year should be announced shortly.

We do anticipate changes to our traditional training instruction format. There are many things under consideration. In addition to cleaning and disinfecting, we must also consider instruction group sizes and even consideration for our many out of state campers. Our goal is to offer the safest football instruction possible this year for both youth and high school groups.

We will be posting updates as soon we receive them. In the meantime, please feel free to go to our website and register. Payment is not required at this time. All registrants should click the bill me later option. If for some reason our site is down, we most likely are working on updates.

Please be patient.

COVID-19 Update 1

We have received many inquiries from the football community regarding this summer’s camp activities. We appreciate all the support from the families and friends of the academy community.

We are all experiencing difficult times. The COVID-19 virus is certainly a huge concern for all of us. We are continuing to monitor all directives from federal, state and local government agencies. Obviously, there’s still a lot of uncertainty. Camp sessions this year are scheduled from 6/29-/7/3. A lot can happen over this next 3 months. We have every intention of conducting this year’s sessions.

We will continue to monitor the progress of this pandemic and will do our best to keep you informed. Please do your best to ensure all your friends and family do the right thing and follow all directives from your local authorities. Especially social distancing and staying home. It’s all about the discipline and attention to detail. Just like football.

Please be safe. Do the right thing.
